Ingredients:
- 2 cups hung curd (strained yogurt)
- 1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 2-3 finely chopped green chillies
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
To prepare hung curd, tie 2 cups of yogurt in a muslin cloth and let it hang for about 3-4 hours until all the whey is drained out and you're left with thick curd.
In a large mixing bowl, add the hung curd, grated paneer, bread crumbs, chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small flat discs or balls.
Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, gently drop the kebabs in the oil and fry until they are golden brown on all sides.
Remove the kebabs from the oil and place them on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
Serve the Dahi Kebabs hot with mint chutney and sliced onions.
Enjoy your delicious and creamy Dahi Kebabs!
